"Finding your Passion" SAE Series

Commonly, students treat their SAE as “just a project” instead of treating it for what it truly is and can be; an opportunity. An SAE can open doors to colleges, careers, scholarships, and opportunities. I encourage every member to find what interests them and find a way to relate it to FFA and Agriculture. After all, Agriculture is the backbone of the world. Anything can be related to agriculture, that’s the beauty of an SAE, it can be whatever you want, all you need is passion and a willingness to plan your SAE and its execution.

The term "opportunity" alludes to the array of initiatives offered through State and National FFA programs, including SAE grants, Proficiency Awards, Student showcases, and Scholarship opportunities simply by following your passion through an SAE. For a complete list of SAE areas, visit the SAE for all Website.

During middle and high school, students are in the process of discovering their identities, considering their post-graduation plans, and exploring potential career paths. Engaging in a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) can expand a student's perspective, providing them with insights into pursuing a career in the field of agriculture.

In conclusion, participating in supervised agricultural experiences (SAE) with true purpose and passion can broaden the horizons of any and every student who is willing to take the opportunity. It is essential to diligently maintain current records in AET to fully utilize the benefits of this experience.

In this series “Finding your Passion”, we will take the journey of exploring unique SAEs and how you can find your passion within Agriculture and FFA.
